First held in 2001, the Forum is an annual gathering in Boao. It is the first international organization based in China. Chinese leaders including Jiang Zemin, Zhu Rongji£¬Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin and Zeng Qinghong attended the Inaugural Ceremony, the 1st-5th annual conferences respectively. The Boao International Convention Center is the permanent venue for this Forum. The Forum provides a high-level platform of dialogue for governmental officials, business leaders, and academia to discuss various issues that promote the prosperity and development of Asia.
